Our Ministries

Growing in the Grace and Knowledge of God.

Getting involved with ministries of the church is a great way to grow in the grace and knowledge of God, get to know others, and exercise our gifts. Colossians 1:9, 10 says, "...we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God" (ESV).

Christian Education

Join us Sunday morning as we learn more about God and His Word. Past topics include a study on the Book of Romans, practical theology, The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan, and many more.

Small Groups

Community is essential for our growth in grace. Small groups allow us to enter into deeper relationships with fellow believers and provide avenues for us to love and serve one another. If you would like to join a small group but do not see one that meets your schedule, please call the church office and we will seek to organize one to meet your needs.

Youth

We desire to see our youth develop spiritually during the middle through high school years. It is important for them to have a solid foundation before they go to college or enter the working world. The statistics are astounding. 70% of people who went to church regularly in high school no longer attend church by the age of 23.

We seek to prepare the youth at Southside through Sunday school, service projects, and special events. Tim Mulder has been working with youth for over 25 years and brings a lot of experience, creativity, and life to our youth ministry.

College (RUF)

Reformed University Fellowship meets each Wednesday night on the campus of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. Tim Mulder faithfully serves our college students. Check out the RUF Facebook page and website.

Fellowship Lunch

We have a fellowship meal after worship service on the second Sunday of the month. The meal is in honor of our college students and guests, so you do not have to bring anything. Our members bring enough food and desserts for everyone.
